The era of artificial intelligence (AI) undeniably brings us various conveniences in carrying out a range of activities, including producing creative works. In fact, many creative and innovative practitioners, including experts from various fields, believe that one day artificial intelligence will be able to rival, and even exceed, natural human intelligence. Amid those who believe in this potential, thankfully, there are a few of us, including myself,
who are notentirely convinced of AI's capabilities. Nevertheless, this belief has become so widespread in our society that more and more people are using AI to complete their tasks. While AI provides incredible tools to assist in creative endeavors, there remains a unique depth in creations borne of patience, persistence, and personal dedication. Yet, we must recognize that AI works "without heart," while many human endeavors cannot be separated from the involvement of "heart and feeling." Additionally, some human tasks can only be fully accomplished with perseverance and patience. The act of "writing" creative works, in its many forms, for example, will not yield the desired results without dedication and sincerity. Many people forget the story of the puppet character Bambang Eka Lawya, who had to work hard to develop his archery skills to match "Arjuna," even without the help of a teacher. Arjuna himself had to meditate and overcome various challenges before obtaining the "Pasopati" weapon to defeat the powerful giant "Niwata Kawaca." The Pandavas had to keep training, enduring hardship in the forest for decades before finally defeating the Kauravas. In short, everything must be achieved through hard work, dedication, and sincerity.
